BinGreen: Making Recycling Smart & Simple

BinGreen was born from the idea that sorting waste should be easy, engaging, and impactful. This startup combines intuitive design with smart technology to empower users to sort their recycling effortlessly — turning eco-consciousness into a daily habit. Behind the scenes, every interaction — from the sleek website to the interactive Telegram bot — is crafted with care to guide, educate, and motivate. To make the message even more fun and relatable, I created CleanStrike — a mini-game where users practice sorting waste in a playful way. Because learning should feel like playing.

Client:

BinGreen is a Ukrainian startup reshaping how we think about recycling — not as a burden, but as an accessible, fast, and modern habit. With a playful website game and an intuitive Telegram bot, they make sorting easy, even fun.

The team behind BinGreen believes that environmental change starts locally — in homes, schools, and neighborhoods. They wanted to show that in Ukraine, sorting is not only possible, but smart, stylish, and just a few clicks away.

The goal:

The mission was to design a digital experience that feels alive, fast, and inspiring — just like the movement it supports. The website had to speak to a new generation: bold visuals, gamified interactions, and a sense of purpose.

With a fresh approach and clever tools like the bot and educational game, we set out to prove that recycling in Ukraine isn’t stuck in the past. It’s evolving — and BinGreen is leading the way.

COLORS

The BinGreen color palette was crafted to feel fresh, eco-forward, and energetic. The main green shade (#5CBA49) symbolizes nature, action, and growth. It immediately communicates the brand’s connection to the environment while feeling modern and optimistic.

White (#FFFFFF) provides clarity and balance, letting content breathe and ensuring high contrast and readability.
The dark grey (#444444) is used for body text to reduce eye strain and give a softer reading experience.

As an accent, the deeper green (#2E7D32) adds richness and trust, used for emphasis and call-to-action elements. The overall palette is minimal yet confident — echoing the simplicity and speed of BinGreen’s sorting experience.

The game:

CleanStrike is an interactive game that teaches how to sort waste in a fun and simple way. Users complete mini-tasks by placing different types of trash into the correct bins, while vibrant characters help and motivate them along the way.

The game was created to make recycling easy, modern, and engaging. It doesn’t lecture — it inspires. This is how I show that sorting in Ukraine can be simple and even enjoyable.

The platform:

I designed the BinGreen website to feel like a welcoming space — especially for those who are new to recycling. My goal was to make everything clear, engaging, and easy to navigate.

The structure allows users to explore how sorting works, instantly calculate the value of recyclables, learn about the team, read sorting rules, and even find solutions for organizations and waste pickup — all in one place.

Every section is crafted to inform without overwhelming. It’s not just a website — it’s a helpful guide that makes the world of recycling accessible and interesting for everyone.

The bot:

I also developed a Telegram bot that makes recycling even more accessible. In just a few clicks, users can submit a request for waste pickup — quickly, easily, and without leaving the app.

The bot also shares helpful tips and answers to common questions — perfect for both beginners who are just starting their sorting journey, and experienced recyclers looking to go deeper.

It’s a smart, friendly tool that brings recycling closer to everyday life — directly in your pocket.
