Client:

Whyki is a personal project born from a simple idea: what if your phone could make you smarter every day — without feeling like homework? The app brings together curated quotes, fascinating facts, historical events, and six mini-games that challenge your mind in a fun, bite-sized way.

With 14 themed categories — from AI and startups to English learning, sports, and coffee — Whyki meets users where their curiosity lives. It tracks streaks, celebrates progress, and even offers home screen widgets so wisdom follows you everywhere.

The goal:

Create a mobile app and a landing page that feel minimal, clean, and inviting — making learning feel like play. The design should reflect the simplicity of the idea: open the app, get inspired, play a game, grow a little. No clutter, no noise — just daily wisdom wrapped in beautiful design.

The idea:

We all forget things — a quote that once moved us, a fact that blew our mind, a word we wanted to learn. Whyki is that gentle daily reminder. It brings wisdom back into your routine in a way that doesn't feel forced — it feels like a game.

Six mini-games — from "Guess the Author" to anagrams and daily challenges — turn knowledge into entertainment. You're not just reading, you're playing. And that's what makes it stick. Whyki reminds you that learning can be light, fun, and part of your everyday rhythm.

COLORS

The palette is intentionally monochromatic — built on pure black and white with carefully balanced grays. No accent color screams for attention. Instead, the design lets typography, spacing, and content speak for themselves. It's minimal by choice: calm, focused, and distraction-free — just like the app itself.

TYPOGRAPHY

Montserrat carries the entire visual voice of Whyki. Its geometric structure and wide range of weights — from light body text to bold headlines — create a clear hierarchy without adding visual noise. It's modern, clean, and feels just right for an app that values simplicity and daily rituals.

KEY FEATURES

Whyki packs a lot into a minimal shell: daily quotes and facts across 14 categories, 6 brain-teasing mini-games, streak tracking and personal stats, "This Day in History" events, home screen widgets for iOS and Android, and full dark mode support. Everything is designed to load fast, feel light, and keep users coming back for their daily dose.

THE WEBSITE

The landing page mirrors the app's philosophy — clean, minimal, and black-and-white. It showcases every feature with smooth scroll animations, interactive hover effects, and a typewriter hero. The website supports both Ukrainian and English, has full dark mode, and guides visitors from curiosity to download in a natural, unhurried flow.

ADAPTIVE VERSION

Both the app and the website are fully responsive. The landing page adapts gracefully — grids collapse to single columns, the hero shifts to a stacked layout, and all interactive elements stay touch-friendly. The app itself is built mobile-first, available on both iOS and Android with native performance and home screen widgets.
